Classic Neo-Soul Mix

(224 downloads)

Download this episode (64 min)
As you might be able to see by know I'm getting a back log of mixes of mine up and out for you. This is a neo-soul mix of music I was spinning in the late 90's till '05. It's very fitting that its dropping today its very loving and warm with good spirits and good times as most soul music is. Now, I gotta say this one is for the vinyl purist as this was strictly recorded with records not Serato so you'll hear the pops clicks and other aging sounds that happen with analog. You'll also know all the artist on here as it is a Classic Mix but there are a couple maybe three at the most that I will argue aren't classics. But its a good mix and enjoyable at a small gathering where wine and cheese are being served. So enjoy this musical bon bon and let me know what you think.

Last year I've had the pleasure of meeting DJ Santero a great world music DJ/musician out of the Bay Area. He has a jumpin ass weekly world music party 'Voodoo Wednesdays' at Luka's Taproom in Oakland Ca. if you get the chance stop by it's always a good time with special guest djs that are good, the famous and upcoming djs always stop by to hear the truth so find out what has them listening. Santero and El Kool Kyle a frequent at voodoo inspired me to do this set . Here's what I found so all you Cumbia fans let know if I brought it. I did three remixes and have the pleasure of having Santero doing the drops on this mix so please download and enjoy responsibly.
